 Connecticut National Bank Notes

Connecticut issued national bank notes from 117 banks in 65 different towns. Right now Connecticut national bank notes command the least money of any state that had less than 120 issuing banks.  Connecticut suffers from having many notes known from almost all banks.  A lot of national banks were chartered in Connecticut in the 1860s and many of them issued national bank notes for decades.  A lot of national bank notes were saved and have since entered collections.  There is still value in high denomination notes and serial #1 examples.  However, other Connecticut national bank notes are generally worth no more than a few hundred dollars at best.
