The First National Bank of Frankford, Delaware

The First National Bank of Frankford, Delaware

The First National Bank of Frankford, Delaware was the only national bank in Frankford.  Its charter number is 8918.  The First National Bank of Frankford resembles several small town banks in Delaware.  It issued both large and small size national bank notes, and it made it past the depression that took out so many small town banks.

Occasionally a 1929 small size note from The First National Bank of Frankford is available for a few hundred dollars. However, 1902 red and blue seal national bank notes from Frankford are much more difficult to acquire.

Everett Hickman was the first president of The First National Bank of Frankford.  Charles Reed Davis was the first cashier of the bank.  Everett Hickman never married but Charles Reed Davis had a large family.
