Hawaii National Bank Notes

Hawaii issued national bank notes from five banks, each in a unique town. Today the only one of the four banks that can be called common is Honolulu. National bank notes from Hawaii are usually worth at least several hundred dollars because they are in demand by anyone putting a state collection together.  All Hawaii national bank notes are technically territorials because Hawaii didn’t become a state until after the national bank note era ended.  The collecting world is still waiting to find a 1902 red national bank note from Hawaii.  The discovery of one would be significant.  A national bank note from a town besides Honolulu should be worth in excess of $10,000.
