Oklahoma National Bank Notes

Oklahoma issued national bank notes from 557 banks in 258 different towns. Oklahoma has seen an influx of supply of national bank notes in the last twelve months due to a large collection hitting the market.  Prices have been fairly strong though.  Oklahoma national bank notes can be broken up into three categories. There are Oklahoma Territory nationals, Indian Territory nationals, and the regular state issues.  Surprisingly, due to timing issues, none of these notes are always going to be worth more than others.  Oklahoma did not issue any first charter national bank notes.  1882 brown backs and 1902 red seals from Oklahoma are always going to be worth at least a few thousand dollars per note and sometimes a good bit more. Oklahoma national bank notes with a blue seal have potential to be rare; and in most cases 1929 national bank notes from Oklahoma will be worth a few hundred dollars.
